Canadian Organic Growers (COG) Summer Farm Tour
Get out of the city and into the country to a small, family run farm. Join Canadian Organic Growers on one of our annual farm visits. Val Steinmann, Brent Klassen and their three children are happy to welcome us to Heartwood Farm. They have produce, mixed livestock and a sugar bush, and we will learn about the joys and challenges of farming in Ontario today. Come and see the new calf and the baby goats!
Saturday, July 11: mid-morning to mid-afternoon
Heartwood Farm: 1 hour northwest of Toronto near Acton, ON
Cost: suggested donation $15 per adult, kids free
Car pooling can be arranged. Bring a picnic lunch.
